Introducing Katleho "Donald" Ntobo

Addiction Recovery Coach, Author, and Mandela Washington Fellow Engaged in Professional Development with The Schreiber Research Group (August 2024)

Katleho Ntobo, a dedicated addiction recovery coach from Lesotho, is committed to helping individuals overcome substance addiction. As a recovering addict himself, Katleho brings personal experience and empathy to his work, providing invaluable support to those on their recovery journey.

He is the author of the recovery book, “Secrets of a Recovering Addict,” which shares his journey and strategies for overcoming addiction, offering hope and guidance to others facing similar challenges.

Katleho holds a bachelor’s degree in development studies and environmental history from the National University of Lesotho. He has been honored as a Mandela Washington Fellow, representing Lesotho at Louisiana State University. Through this fellowship, he aims to enhance his leadership skills and acquire knowledge to build strong, sustainable teams and organizations.

Additionally, he has received leadership training from the UNISA Graduate School of Business in South Africa, further strengthening his capabilities as a leader.

Katleho’s goal is to establish Lesotho’s first operational rehabilitation center, addressing a critical need in his home country. His journey is marked by resilience, leadership, and a steadfast commitment to service. He is enthusiastic about the future and looks forward to contributing to positive change in his community.

During his Professional Development Experience (PDE) with The Schreiber Research Group (TSRG), Katleho will study the opioid response initiatives in the United States, including the HRSA-funded projects in Southeast Colorado. He will also share insights from his experiences with addiction treatment and recovery in Lesotho. Katleho aims to bring valuable lessons back to Lesotho to support his ongoing efforts in addressing addiction in his home country.
