William L. Swann is a Senior Researcher and Board Member at TSRG. He is also an Assistant Professor and the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska Chair in Health Care Administration and Policy in the School of Public Administration at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. His research focuses on community collaborative opioid response as well as rural-urban and racial/ethnic disparities in treatment and health services for opioid and substance use disorder. This work has appeared in the Journal of Public Health Management and Practice, SSM – Population Health, Substance Abuse, Substance Abuse: Research and Treatment, and The Journal of Rural Health. He is currently co-leading a longitudinal social network analysis of substance use treatment and social service providers in the southern rural Colorado communities of Bent, Crowley, and Otero counties funded by the Health Services and Resources Administration. He holds a BSBA in finance from Bryant University, an MPA from the University of Rhode Island, and a PhD from the Askew School of Public Administration and Policy at Florida State University. He is an enthusiast of sports, nature and animals, film, and the performing arts.
